Geographic Information Systems Engineer

Job Title: GIS EngineerLocation: Navi Mumbai, IndiaExperience: 6+ yearsKey Responsibilities:Utilize ArcGIS software suite to analyze spatial data and generate accurate maps for project planning, resource management, and decision-making purposes.Develop and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.Collaborate with project teams to understand GIS requirements and provide technical expertise in implementing GIS solutions.Create customized GIS applications and tools to automate processes and enhance efficiency.Conduct spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within geographic datasets.Perform data conversion, transformation, and integration tasks to support GIS projects.Prepare and present GIS reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and trends to continuously improve GIS capabilities within the organization.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior GIS staff members.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field.7+ years of professional experience in GIS engineering or related roles.Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Arc Scene, and MS-Office.Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and GIS principles.Experience with GIS database management and data manipulation.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve GIS-related issues.Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and map production.
