This way, we have completely changed the way restaurant businesses are built and are channeling our efforts globally for building restaurants on the internet.Job Description:We are looking for someone to lead a team of talented Data Scientists in solving the toughest problems in food tech today. The role would require someone who has led similar teams and themselves created and deployed high-quality data, ML and AI solutions at scale. This role will involve hands-on work and daily working sessions with the data scientists to create, improve and debug ML models across multiple business domains. The person should be able to visualize the high-level picture and give direction, while also not being afraid to get their hands dirty and remove roadblocks for team members.What our team ownsAt Rebel, the Data Science & Analytics team builds and maintains all ML models, rule-based intelligence, automated reports and dashboards used by the organization. This spans across areas of inventory forecasting, order predictions, marketing spends optimization, prediction of delivery time, personalization, primary planning, capacity optimization, etc. We are on a mission to drive business impact via ML and Data Science and grow adoption of these areas at Rebel. We also want to enable the organization to better understand and effectively use ML and DS. We interact with teams across every business area such as Supply, Operations, Demand Generation, D2C, Finance, Brands, Customer Delight, Central Planning and many more. We are never short of interesting challenges and we balance delivering continuous impact and great CX, while building strong foundations to drive sustainable ML returns over time.We're looking for someone who canProvide strategic direction and overseer the execution of machine learning initiatives to address specific business needs.Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning engineers in designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models.Collaborate with PMs and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and strategize innovative solutionsEnsure the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and reusable code, with proper version control.Operate in a hands-on capacity when necessarySpecific Qualifications Demonstrated track record in designing, building and deploying ML models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.Strong hands-on experience in ML algorithms libraries like Pytorch, Tensorflow/Keras, Scikit-Learn.Solid of understanding of AI/ML techniques related to Regression, Classification, Gradient Boosting, NLP, Computer VisionGood knowledge of using Optimization with OR ToolsStrong hands-on skills in Data Analytics, Feature Engineering & EDA/Visualization using libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly etc.Understanding of Dockerization, REST APIsGood-to-haveStrong stakeholder management skillsExperience in building Time-Series Forecasting Models and Market Mix ModelsInterest in improving ML fluency in the larger organization and setting best practicesIf you find this intriguing, we should meet.
