Director of Finance

Our Director of Finance will ensure the Executive team of ASICS EMEA and ASICS HQ receive reliable financial reports every month. You will safeguard compliance from a financial and statutory reporting perspective and optimise the EMEA cash position, mitigate foreign exchange risk as much as possible and ensure cash flow forecasting occurs. You will also transform the finance organisation into an efficient department based on robust processes, controls and supporting systems.

How you'll help us.

Based out of our EMEA Headquarters, just outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer EMEA, as part of the role, you'll:

- Lead an international finance team of 60 employees across the EMEA region, looking after financial control/accounting, accounts payable, credit control, treasury, and operational excellence.

- Be accountable for the month-end closing process, including the EMEA consolidation process; ensure financials are reported promptly, accurately, and completely to ASICS Headquarters in Japan.

- Transform the finance organisation into an effective and efficient department based on robust processes, controls and supporting systems.

- Ensure that the Operational Excellence Managers support finance project initiatives that drive business growth and efficiency.

- Ensure statutory financial statements are prepared, filed and audited in line with country-specific requirements.

- Be responsible for optimising the cash and working capital position and managing credit risk for the EMEA region.

- Create and maintain up-to-date policies and procedures and safeguard the execution of internal controls to prevent material misstatements.

- Be responsible for all audit and control-related matters and act as the key liaison for external and internal audits.

More about you.

- Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or accountancy, preferably with a post-master's degree.

- More than 10 years of working experience in a multinational company, preferably a combination of audit and finance.

- Knowledge of and experience in SAP systems and BI solutions is a plus.

- Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), sporting goods, and the wholesale or retail environment is a plus.
