As a Quantity Surveyor you report to the company Principals and will interact with them frequently.Basic duties and responsibilities:Quantity Surveying:Conceptual estimating, including 'comparables' research, high level area-based costingSupport for business case preparationManagement of cost database, including current intel from contractors/trades and suppliers, and management of our own 'as-built' project cost databaseKeeping current with market trends and forecasting escalationDetailed estimating, including detailed quantity take-offs and elemental estimatingCross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationshipsProject management/coordination work from time-to-timeLoan Monitoring:Conduct and complete site inspections including photographsPrepare and submit invoices, claims for progress payments, Certificates for Payment, valuation of changes and analysis of progress and recommendationReport to the lender on the overall progress of the project and anticipated completion datesPrepare and submit a preliminary report to the lender before any loan advances are issued to the borrower, confirming the borrower's equityDevelop cash flow projectionsTrack project budget, against cost-to-date and cost-to-complete.Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.Compensation:5+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experienceDependent on experience and education.
