Land Surveyor / Survey Party Chief, Civil / Infra | Civil ContractorPosted 6 days agoGeomatics / Land SurveyorOur client, a leading Western Canadian geomatics firm, is seeking an experienced Land Surveyors, Survey Party Chief and Project Manager to join their surveying teams in Vancouver, Kamloops, Whitehorse and Fort St John. The busy offices is involved in complex legal and engineering surveying projects, throughout British Columbia.Duties include:Senior surveying project manager for a large variety of complex cadastral and engineering projects, from mixed-use air space subdivision to large infrastructure projectsThe position includes both field and office work - from budgeting, client development, client liaising, project research, calculations, staff supervision, final plan preparation and reportingSurvey party chief for a large variety of surveying projects, including mixed-use air space subdivision, engineering, construction, and infrastructure projectsThe position includes both field and office work - from client liaising, project research, calculations, to the review of final plans and reportsAbility to deal directly with clientsRequirements:Ability to obtain BCLS and CLS CommissionSurvey project management experience, used to working on complex projects, often with tight time constraintsUAV Licence would be an assetPast experience collecting and processing 3D laser scanning dataEffective communications skills, both verbal and written EnglishFamiliarity with computer applications including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS data processing and least-squares analysisMinimum of 3+ years of surveying experienceEffective communications skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in computer applications including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS data processing, and least-squares analysisExtensive experience with conventional surveying and GPS equipmentExperience running a survey field crew, with the ability to communicate directly with the clients and perform field calculations3D laser scanning experience will be an considered an assetOur client offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.Please clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume.email: info@outpostrecruitment.comRegistrationPlease ensure you register your details with Outpost Recruitment when submitting your job application.
