Legal Counsel

Credit Europe Bank is seeking a full-time Legal Counsel to join our legal team. As an integral part of our organization, you will serve as a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive legal counsel to all departments within the Bank. While your advice will encompass a wide range of legal matters, there will be a particular emphasis on supporting our general lending activities. You will report directly to the Senior Legal Counsel in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Legal Counsel, you will:Offer legal advice and support to various business departments regarding cross-border bilateral and syndicated loan documentation (LMA), security documentation, and other transactional documents.Advise on a broad range of bank products.Review and offer advice on the Bank's non-financial contracts.Identify associated legal risks and ensure your contributions meet the highest standards, adhering to the Bank's policies and applicable laws.Proactively monitor legal developments including relevant jurisprudence, legislation/regulations, and industry practices that could impact the Bank's operations.Update and maintain the Legal Department's know-how and template documents.Collaborate with external legal counsels across various jurisdictions for outsourced legal work.Share legal knowledge and provide necessary assistance to internal stakeholders (corporate banking and credit departments), international subsidiaries, and branch offices.Personal Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate should have:A Master's degree, preferably in Dutch law.5-6 years' post-qualified experience in a reputable international law firm with a focus on banking & finance or as an in-house lawyer at an international bank or financial institution.Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating bilateral and/or LMA based loan documentation.Proficiency with various bank products. Knowledge of treasury or cash management products is a plus.Excellent English communication skills in both verbal and written form.
