Network Security Specialist

Network Security Specialist Day rate hybrid contract based out of Dublin or Cork Our enterprise client in the financial sector has embarked on a significant digital transformation programme. To support and enable this transformation a significant and exciting opportunity has been created for a Network Security Specialist . This role is being created to meet the increasing demands for the design and implementation of secure Network infrastructure and solutions that have emerged as we continue our Digital journey. The successful candidate will have strong technical experience and will have worked in a Network Design role previously. This is a cross functional role requiring the individual to work seamlessly and collaboratively across the business to achieve the required outcomes. Requirements: Essential

• Detailed knowledge and experience in the implementation of resilient network and network security solutions
• Hands-on experience implementing micro-segmentation and Zero-trust technologies
• In-depth knowledge of software-defined networking and experience deploying those technologies
• Strong understanding of Identity Access Management and integration with network segmentation
• In depth understanding and awareness of the regulatory landscape and the associated network and cybersecurity requirements
• Strong experience in the delivery of enterprise class solutions within significant transformation programmes that underpin business critical applications
• Ability to take initiative and produce results across multiple competing priorities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a talented team
• Strong experience in effective risk management and control

• Experience in the ongoing management and operation of the in scope technologies
• Experience in automation technologies and their implementation service and solution delivery
• In depth knowledge of secure and scalable cloud connectivity
• Hands-on experience in digital service end-point definition within Web Access Firewall, load balancers, and secure web gateways
• Knowledge and understanding of private cloud and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure design

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the network and network security and its configuration to enable the integration of new services and progressive simplification
• Deliver the effective design, implementation and maintenance of the in-scope technologies to protect and enable
• Develop and implement secure and resilient solution design that meets the needs of the business and enabling strategic objectives
• Drive the simplification of the managed environment seeking to minimise complexity while maintaining industry leading solutions and configurations
• Drive the automation first strategy eliminating repetitive tasks and enabling the focus on higher value activities
• Enable the development of secure cloud connectivity and integration solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with the relevant 3rd parties that support this function

• Ensure a firm understanding of the risk landscape across the in scope processes
• Maintain the in scope control environment ensuring the controls are fit for purpose, aligned to internal standards and regulatory requirement and seek to enhance and automate where possible
• Proactively seek to minimize audit findings by implementing effective and permanent solutions while considering the wider implications of any findings
• Support the successful remediation of the findings from the current or any future external reviews
