Maintains an accurate and updatedfiling system for all correspondence andcollateral.Maintain complete knowledge of andcomply with all departmental policies, service procedures andstandards.Ensure that standards are maintainedat a superior level on a daily basis.Determinetraining requirements and conduct appropriate courses andseminars.Ensure continuing training anddevelopment of Security staff.To assist in thedesign, implementation and regular reviews of the Safety policiesand procedures.Note and report brokendefective or dangerous equipment as well as facilitate repairs andcorrective action to items within the property that may presents ahazard or threat to the life, safety and wellbeing of our guestsand employees.Implement all emergency / fireprocedures and ensure that staff is fully conversant with all theabove.Handle emergencies whennecessary.Handle all guest-related incidentsas necessary.Prepare work schedules foreffective staffing, ensuring efficient operation of the departmentwithin specific labor standards.Monitorrailroad tracks for train and assist guests across tracks when itis safe to do so.Advise all in the area of theapproaching train and do not allow passage when railroad alertsbegin to sound.Ensure the railroad traintracks are monitored at all times (24 hours a day / 7 days a week)and ensure the crossing gates for the railroad tracks are closed atall times.Maintain high morale, minimizingturnover and concentrating on staffdevelopment.Conduct monthly departmentalmeetings.Ensure that all staff within his/ herjurisdiction have current job description and organizationalcharts.Maintain the effective flow ofcommunication within the department.Establishand maintain good control procedures for the lost and founddepartment.Maintain daily logbook and reportall incidents, problems, and unusual circumstances to the Directorof Security and Managing Director / Hotel Manager for comments andfollow-up.Maintain accurate and completerecords of all guest and employee accidents andincidents.Support and assist in maintainingthe operating standards established by Rosewood Hotels andResorts.All other duties asrequired.
