Role Summary: Are you a certified Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) expert looking to make a meaningful impact? talabat's Bahrain Logistics team in Manama seeks a dedicated individual to lead the charge in enhancing the safety and well-being of our delivery heroes. As a Sr. Specialist in Health & Safety, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance, and enhancing the overall health and safety standards for our valued riders. This role isn't just about maintaining safety; it's about driving positive change and championing rider welfare at every step. What’s On Your Plate?

1. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize rider safety.
2. Continuously improve rider safety and well-being initiatives, incorporating industry best practices.
3. Manage the Rider Academy project and facility, aiming to enhance road safety for our riders.
4. Improve rider's food handling practices to decrease order failures and improve customer experience.
5. Enhance and streamline the reporting process for rider accidents, ensuring suppliers and riders are well-versed in the correct procedures for accurate reporting.
6. Improve rider training material, particularly within the Health & Safety Modules.
7. Monitor and enhance the rider insurance process, ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Improve talabat relationship with the Traffic Directorate.
9. Address and investigate safety complaints and concerns raised by Suppliers/Riders and customers, implementing corrective action plans to eliminate potential dangers.
10. Maintain and ensure rider database integrity and accuracy.
11. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and formulate strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
12. Provide training to suppliers trainers on health and safety procedures, focusing on specific risks in the rider's work environment.
13. Train current trainers and Patrollers as required on defensive driving, food handling, and other safety topics.

What Did We Order?

1. HSE certification or relevant qualifications.
2. 3-4 years experience in Health and Safety.
3. Experience in developing and implementing safety protocols.
4. A proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation.
5. Excellent Leadership skills.
6. Problem solver who can find solutions that are practical and effective.
7. You are happy working in a fast-paced environment and see changes as opportunities.
8. Moderate user of G-suite/ Microsoft Office.
9. Fluent in English, Arabic, and Urdu is a plus.
