Massage Therapist

Acts independently to assess,analyze, and provide massage therapy to any National Teams footballplayer seeking to recover from training or competition or toenhance their football performance. Incollaboration with the National Team Medicine Doctor andPhysiotherapist plan, implement and deliver the most appropriaterecovery sessions. Monitor the reaction ofplayers to specific massage techniques, recognize changes in thecondition of a player and inform immediately the National TeamSports Medicine Doctor or Head Physiotherapist if any adversereaction.Follow the instructions of thephysiotherapist to treat injured players following a designatedtreatment plan utilizing massage therapytechnique.Provide significant input intodevelopment and assessment of recoveryprotocols.Independent charting usinginformatics systems (CERNER).Report to theNational Teams Doctor and Head Physiotherapist about recentscientific research on the benefit of sports massage and post-gamerecovery protocols.Provide in-service briefingfollowing attendance at a course orworkshop.Manage clinical risk within owncaseload including observing the players in all situationsapplicable to massage and recovery therapy, ensuring safety andsecurity of players.Respect local cultureregarding players' privacy duringsessionsMaintain the highest standards ofethical and professional behavior when treating and dealing withNational Teams players.Provide an opinion onthe National Teams Medical Services Unit policies and proceduresregarding massage and recoveryservices.
