LINQM is adding a onsite Mechanical Engineerto the team.Mechanical Engineer Fremont R&D/EnergyInfrastructureThe Energy Infrastructure team is lookingfor a Mechanical Engineer to be a part of our team supportingprojects across the bay area in design development and execution ofnew and tenant improvement energy manufacturingfacilitiesResponsibilitiesApply engineeringfundamentals and a broad set of mechanical engineering tools tosolve technical problems and create novel detailed designs for awide range of mechanical and process systemResponsiblefor developing mechanical design packages for permitting andconstruction Review and develop designs that are costeffective, constructable, code compliant while meeting quality andschedule requirementsAble to develop quantity take offsand assist with cost estimating for projects in short timeframesWork with various manufacturing, construction, andfacilities stakeholders to understand end user needs and deliverresults that meet the collective teams needsMust be ableto prioritize and manage heavy workload on multiple projects toensure high quality and productivityResolving designissues creatively and thoroughly coordinating design with otherdisciplines EngineeringKnowledge:Fundamental understanding mechanical systemsincluding, not limited to; Dehumidification Units, Air Scrubbers,Dust Collectors, Heat Exchangers (shell/tube, plate/frame, brazedfin), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Compressors, processgas/fluid systems, Air Handling Units, Terminal Units, Fans /Blowers, Pumps, Control Valves and Instrumentation, HazardousExhaust, Dehumidification Units, Heat RecoverySystemsAdvanced knowledge of engineering designprinciples and applicable design guides and standards related toassigned engineering discipline.International CodesCouncil (ICC) Suite of Codes (codes including Building, Mechanical,Plumbing, Energy Conservation, Fuel Gas, and FireCodes)ASHRAE Handbooks / StandardsSMACNAStandards RequirementsMinimum of 4years HVAC and Process Systems design experienceAbilityto obtain a PE registration and ability in anyStateExcellent communication skills essential forteam-based workingProficient in the use of variouscomputer programs such as HVAC load calculations, Pipe-flo,Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and Revit.Professionaldesign experience in a wide range of project types includingindustrial cooling tower systems, chiller plants, boiler plants,office, mission critical/data centers, restaurant, hightech/R&D, bio-tech/pharmaceutical andindustrialKnowledge and experience with writing sequencesof operationConstruction Administration experienceincluding site observation visits and review of RFIs, and shopdrawingsDirect experience in the preparation ofmechanical contract drawings and engineeringspecifications
