Job Summary andPurpose Accountable for theexecution of the set estimating & invoicing strategy as alignedto the Business Plan and Revenue forecast. Performs the estimating& invoicing processes in a timely and effective manner inkeeping with the Companys business objectives. AccountabilitiesKeyAccountabilities: 1.Review Request for Quotation (RFQ) files sent to the Company fromclients to analyze the content such as drawings and supporting datato interpret understand and confirm the scope of the work beingrequested. 2. Review the terms & conditions &read through the specifications using technical knowledge abilityand skills to determine fullness or appropriateness of Request forQuotation (RFQ). 3. Based on professional evaluation ofthe Request For Quotation (RFQ) Populate the Tender Review CheckList and seek Manager bid or no bid options. Leverage technicalexpertise to convince/influence management to proceed to signoff onyour projects tender order review checklist. 4. Reviewship specification and Original Owner Specifications for thoroughjob understanding. 5. Apply a work breakdown structurebreak down projects into phases tasks and subtasks to map out andapply a time estimate to each element and create a solid projectestimate and work breakdown structure (WBS) for deliverableorientedbreakdown of a project into smaller components. including ahierarchy of specific elements; an element may be a product dataservice or any combination thereof. 6. Performsestimation in consideration of many variables to figure out howlargescale activities will develop for the distribution of laborand for purchases of raw materials so that a certain amount ofresources can be made available for carrying out a particularproject. Provides accurate cost estimates as one of the vitalelements of entering into the projects. Prepares quotations inresponse to clients specifications and follows all proceduresavailable information and expert council to ensure successfulestimations are delivered. Thorough understanding of businessobjectives and the KPIs as set from time to time in order to ensurethat estimating requirements are fully met in terms of quantityquality timelines and bidding success rates. Work within thenecessary company framework for detailed cost estimating andguidance for schedule development and control. 7.Understanding of current market prices and tactics of thecompetition. Accordingly adjust the prices in consultation with theManager. Generate a range of possible outcomes that is preciseenough to be useful creating options intended to pick the singlevalue that is believed to be closest to the actual value i.e pointestimate. 8. Undertake participate and provide valueinput to the Tender review process including review of accurateregistration data general and special terms & conditions clauseprovisions plans and drawings Specification Amendments &Supplemental Specifications forms etc. 9. Identifysubcontractor works and open the tendering system subsequentlyreview the status of subcon enquiries sent and follow up and reviewquotation received and terms and conditions fromsubcontractors. 10. Once material and price inputs areestablished produce draft quotation from tendering system. Ensurework accuracy (proofread make correction and update in tenderingsystem) and establish man hour report discount projections jobsummary programme schedules terms and conditions draft cover letterreport etc. 11. Ensure timely submission ofquotations to owners 12. Thorough understanding ofbusiness objectives and the KPIs as set from time to time in orderto ensure that estimating requirements are fully met in terms ofquantity quality timelines and bidding success rates.13. Prepares quotations in response to clients specifications andfollows all procedures available information and expert council toensure successful estimations are delivered. 14.Understanding of current market prices and tactics of thecompetition. Accordingly adjust the prices in consultation with theManager. 15. Performregular checks on works carried out by estimating engineers andprovide guidance and training. 17. Conduct regularmeetings with the estimating engineers and share the lessonslearned. 18. Ensure timely submission of quotations toowners. 19. Prepares and maintains billingfile. 20. Responsible for all commercial activities oncevessels are in the yard. 21. Attends the daily onboardVSCC (& other standard industry safety meetings) meeting andprovides feedback / action plans if necessary. 22.Provides quotations for additional work and submit budget updateperiodically to the Owners Representative. 23. Ensurescollection of all documents and other related data for preparationof draft invoice. 24.
