About the job Deputy Manager Accounts (CA- Inter)Job briefThe Deputy Manager Accounts plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of an organization's financial operations. This position reports to the BU Financial Controller.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting activities: This includes managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and deadlines.Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.Implement and maintain internal controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Identify and mitigate financial risks.Participate in internal audits and address any concerns raised.Analyze financial data: Identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.Stay updated on accounting rules and regulations: Stay informed of changes in accounting standards and tax laws.Liaise with other departments: Collaborate with departments such as sales, operations, and human resources to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.RequirementsCA InterMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting (manufacturing firm experience would be preferred)Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.Experience with budgeting and forecasting.Knowledge of financial modeling and analysis.Proficient in Oracle ERPExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented and highly organized.
