SkillsJava SQL(Backend) Database connectivity(JDBC/ODBC) Datawarehouses likeDatabricks/Presto, Data formats (Parquet,ORC) Database performance (queryoptimization) JobOverviewWe are looking for an experiencedDatabase Manager for managing our IT team. You will be responsiblefor the smooth functioning of the database technologies.Furthermore, you will be planning and implementing database designand troubleshooting any issues. Your responsibilities will alsoinclude setting and testing new database systems.As a Database Manager, you will need to have aneye for detail and a strong sense of accuracy. Moreover, you willbe responsible for maintaining integrity and confidentiality of anysensitive data. If you can ensure proper and timely organization ofthe company s database and efficiently lead a team of ITprofessionals, then do write to us.ResponsibilitiesPlanningand implementing best practices and new databasedesignsChecking softwareand hardware requirements and upgrading ifnecessaryCoordinatingwith the development and programming team to troubleshoot urgentissuesCommunicating anyserious issues or difficulties to the SeniorManagementCreating andmaintaining data storage and retrieval policies andproceduresReviewing andenhancing the performance of existing databaseOverseeing dailyoperations and teammembersAnalyzing andpreparing daily performance reportsTesting new changes inthe databasesystemEnsuring compliancewith legal rules andrequirementsEnsuringbackup and security of any confidential and importantdataMonitoring anddeveloping data entry procedures andprotocolsPerformingtimely systemupdatesTraining andmanaging new ITstaffDeveloping disasterrecovery plansDocumentingand maintaining database progressCompiling databasedevelopment best practicesRequirementsBachelor s degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science or relatedfield5+ years ofexperience as Database AdministratorProficiency in StructuredQuery Language (SQL) and familiarity with SQLServerKnowledge ofdatabase practices and legalregulationsExcellentanalytical and problem-solvingskillsStrong leadershipskillsAbility to managetime effectivelyGoodcommunicationskillsExcellent computerskillsKnowledge ofdatabase management systems like FoxPro, SQLite, andOracleUp-to-date with thelatest trends in the ITindustryHighly motivatedand detail-orientedGooddecision-makingskillsAbility to workunderpressureDemonstratingintegrity andconfidentialityAbility tomanage multipletasksExcellent technicalskillsAbility totroubleshoot problems effectivelyGood knowledge ofdatabase technologies and datasecurity
