+ The Civil Inspector isto ensure compliance of the work with the drawings andspecifications. Shall be familiar with the plans, specifications,and construction methods for the phases of the work to which he hasbeen assigned. + Ensure that the work is done in the higheststandards of Safety and quality. + Maintain a detailed diary of theday's work activities, issues, work approved or rejected,hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc. and sign at theend of each day as directed by Site Engineer and RE. + Interfacewith the public and stake holders adjacent to the work to mitigatethe construction impacts and discuss any concerns with thesupervisor. + Coordinate with the contractor's foreman andengineer in charge of the work and the QA / QC on a daily basis asper approved program of works and to advise on the proper executionof the work. + Coordinate with the Materials Inspectors and arrangefor sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, andquality assurance testing of suspect materials. + Coordinate withthe Surveyors to check the line and grade of ready work andcompleted work for conformance with the approved plans andspecifications. + Report questionable methods of operation againstthe approved method statement / ITP by the Contractor to the SiteEngineer or the Resident Engineer. + Report to the Site Engineer /Resident Engineer any failure of the Contractor to perform the workas per the drawings and specifications and to provide goodworkmanship. + Process the Inspection Requests promptly andmaintain records of their status and keep records of the executedworks. + Maintain detailed records of work performed by thecontractor in case the work is performed on a Day Works basis. +Act in a professional and ethical way but firm in dealings with theContractor. + Perform other responsibilities associated with thisposition as may be appropriate. • *What Required SkillsYou'll Bring:** + Bachelor's Degree in CivilEngineering from an accredited University to the approval of theEngineer. + Minimum of 6 years demonstrable experience ofsupervision of civil construction projects of which not less than 3years at least one of the works related lining of landfills. +Preferably should have work experience in construction of landfill.+ Must have good command of English both written and spoken. +Computer skills are mandatory. • *What Desired SkillsYou'll Bring:** + Attention to detail, perseverance, andproactive approach to work. • *Minimum Clearance Requiredto Start:**
