EHS Engineer

Job Description:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs that align with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate preventive measures
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Stay updated on local EHS regulations and standards, ensuring the company's policies remain compliant and up to date
• Oversee the management of air, water, and waste practices to minimize environmental impact and ensure adherence to regulations
• Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reports, and submit required reports to regulatory bodies as needed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance, operational efficiency, and sustainability

Key Requirements:

• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC
• Strong analytical skills to identify potential risks and suggest practical solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Well versed in risk assessment and hazard identification with working knowledge of fire alarm and fire hydrant systems
• Detail oriented with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations
