Education Requirements Local or internationally recognised HSE qualification (OSHA, NEBOSCH, IOSH, Industrial Safety diploma) SACPCMP registered Experience Requirements 6+ years of experience in an HSE role in the renewable energy industry Embedded knowledge of internal and external auditing processes Responsibilities Understand the project's HSE plan requirements to ensure effective implementation on the project site. Organize and deliver HSE/B2B training sessions effectively to enhance and maintain high levels of HSE awareness. Facilitate the preparation, review, and modification of risk assessments as necessary. Maintain records of on-site and off-site accidents related to project employees and vehicles and assist in preparing initial reports. Ensure the safe transportation, storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals on site. Ensure emergency response preparedness provisions and plans are in place and known to all site employees. Perform Level 1 HSE inspections and ensure senior management conducts Level 2 and Level 3 inspections. Ensure compliance with the permit-to-work system. Verify that work platforms are safe and meet site requirements for working at height. Prepare and submit necessary reports to the Project HSE Manager and other relevant parties. Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are followed up and closed out. Consult with project management regularly to ensure a positive, safe, and healthy work atmosphere.
