JOB POSTING - Assistant Professor - Clinical Child/Forensic PsychologyThe School of Psychology within the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts at the Florida Institute of Technology seeks an outstanding and dynamic faculty member for a 9-month tenure track, Assistant Professor in Clinical psychology with a specialization in child and/or forensic clinical psychology beginning August successful candidate will conduct research and teach undergraduate and graduate courses (potential courses could include Child Advocacy, Childhood Disorders, Juvenile Delinquency, Abnormal Psychology, Child Psychology, Developmental, or Forensic Psychology) and serve as a core member of our APA-accredited PsyD program in Clinical Psychology. The ideal candidate will have a clinical background in evidenced-based therapies and assessment, a strong commitment to providing high-quality clinical training, and the ability to provide clinical supervision of students working with individuals across the lifespan. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in both therapy and advocacy of children and adolescents.Candidates are expected to establish an independent program of research; although the specific area of research is open, we encourage applications from candidates with interests or expertise in areas of Clinical Psychology that incorporate a developmental lens that may include, but is not limited to, juvenile competence assessment, child maltreatment, developmental psychopathology, or forensic assessment. The candidate will also be expected to direct doctoral research projects and incorporate undergraduates into their research undergraduate Forensic Psychology major and Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) minor programs and graduate Clinical Psychology program feature a range of courses across the spectrum of disciplines. We have an excellent student-faculty ratio and students enjoy close working relationships with faculty. Core clinical faculty participates in year-round program activities.
