To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years. La Trobe University's School of Allied Health, Human Services, and Sport is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Lecturer in Food Nutrition and Dietetics to join our distinguished team. This full-time, continuing role based at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus offers the chance to make a significant impact on the future of food, nutrition, and dietetics education.

As a Lecturer in Food Nutrition and Dietetics, you will contribute to the design and delivery of our school's undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs. Your role will include developing innovative curriculum, engaging in evidence-based teaching, coordinating subjects, and providing high-quality learning experiences in various modes including online, blended, and face-to-face. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring staff, supervising honours and postgraduate students, and contributing to the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Skills and Experience: Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or equivalent in relevant discipline areas, with demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination. You should have a track record of innovative initiatives that have improved student experiences and engagement. A strong ability to work collaboratively, think creatively, and contribute to continuous improvement in teaching practices is essential. For applicants with dietetics qualifications, obtaining or retaining Accredited Practising Dietitian status with Dietitians Australia is required.
