About the role

We are currently looking for a passionate Safety and Wellbeing Systems Specialist to lead the ongoing development and review of the Safety & Wellbeing management system to support the achievement of the Safety and Wellbeing strategic plan.

You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, simplifying and maintaining the processes, procedures, forms and tools that form part of the safety & wellbeing system and provide timely, accurate information and advice to stakeholders.

What's Involved: Lead the ongoing review, development and simplification of the Bunnings Safety and Wellbeing Management System (BSAFE System). Document review and rewrite

Review and interpret business, legislative and self-insurance (National Self insurers Audit Tool and Accredited Employers Program) requirements to ensure the development of a compliant safety and wellbeing management system

Prepare documents for wider consultation and inline with legislation and regulatory and legal requirements

Design and develop procedures, documents, forms and tools in consultation with key stakeholders that simply communicate safety & wellbeing requirements and standards

Lead the preparation and submission of all required documentation and evidence for Self-Insurance Audits and partnering activities and develop and monitor action plans

Act as an interface between different areas of the safety & wellbeing team and functions of the business to coordinate and complete reviews and consultation for changes to the BSAFE System and operational process.

Support the development of resources and training Material

Who we're looking for:

Our ideal candidate will come from a Health & Safety background.

You will have sound working knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing management systems and legislation, including delivery of new systems within a business and audit experience (self-insured organisation is highly regarded).

You'll also be well organised with strong prioritisation skills, time management skills and a high level of attention to detail.

You'll need: Tertiary qualification in health and safety or a related discipline

Previous experience in a Health and Safety Systems role

Demonstrated experience in a role managing Health and Safety management systems

Prior experience within an externally certified / self insured large business

Highly developed written communication skills

Prior experience analysing and interpreting legal and other compliance requirements and translating these into simple processes and documentation

Proficient across Microsoft Office applications and familiarization with use and application of safety & wellbeing technology solutions
