Based in our Bennetts Green facility in Newcastle and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will provide essential support to optimise project results, enabling the project to accurately determine the schedule and financial status at all times. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: - Identify process improvement and ensure governance around project controls processes including tracking and management of Schedule, financial and cost data. - Assist with the preparation of contract management reports including, budgets and forecasts, utilisation reporting, cash flow forecasts, and any other analysis as required. - Plan, establish and direct the project financial administrative and operational procedures to ensure profits are protected. - Maintain risk registers to include change impacts. - Conduct financial evaluations, carrying out business modelling and risk assessments. - Assist in determining leveling decisions and performs quantity and manpower resource loading for assigned schedules. - Review schedule data and identify and acquire information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines or specialties. - Determine critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialties and identifies significant activities supporting inter-discipline requirements. - Monitor schedule deviation for assigned disciplines or specialties and recommends corrective action/workaround solutions for project considerations. - Identify and report on activities that have a critical or potential impact on schedule. - Strictly adhere to both UGL and client's safety and environmental systems and standards. About You: - Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar preferred. - Demonstrated experience in project controls, cost control, accounting practices or scheduling. - Demonstrated experience in schedule building and management for projects. - Experience working on Projects/Maintenance contracts with contract margin improvements, labour rates, capital expenditure, cost control, projects controls and risk management. - Practical experience with cost management tools (excel, SAP, Power BI, Sharepoint). - Practical experience with schedule management tools (MS Project, P6, excel, PowerBI). - Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills. - Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and learn quickly. - Proficient skills across the MS Suite, with an advanced Excel skillset.
