Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/SA889045This is a permanent full-time position commencing during Term 2, 2024Kinross College is seeking a highly capable and enthusiastic Program Coordinator to join our Student Services team. The successful applicant will ideally have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with all members of the Pastoral Care team to support the health and wellbeing of students.The Program Coordinator - Student Services, will be responsible for the behaviour, attendance, and social/emotional wellbeing of our Year 7 amnd Year 8 students. The successful applicant will preferably have knowledge of the Positive Behaviour in Schools framework and a growth mind-set should be evident in their communications with students, parents, and staff. The successful applicant should collaborate effectively with the Student Services Associate Principal to plan, implement, and monitor all student wellbeing programs using data to inform strategic planning.The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills to enable them to work effectively with many stakeholders across the school and wider community. This includes, but is not limited to, parents/carers, teachers, other schools, external agencies, and community groups. An understanding of Trauma Informed Practice would be desirable, as would a restorative approach to conflict and an ability to apply their knowledge to broker the best outcomes for students through their highly effective case management skills.The expanding enrolment numbers over recent years indicate the numerous specialist academic and sporting programs offered by the College are resulting in the College becoming a highly preferred public school option. Many parents are now choosing Kinross College over many private school alternatives. The College continues to upgrade its facilities to support the future expansion into Year 12 in 2025.The Program Coordinator - Student Services is a member of the College senior leadership team and contributes to whole school review and planning. The role of Program Coordinator - Student Services requires a dynamic, strategic, and proactive approach. As Student Services Coordinator, you should lead with cultural responsiveness and in a context specific manner. A successful applicant should form strong, respectful relationships with students, families, staff, and the wider community and be committed to working as part of a close team to identify, understand, and respond to the individual needs of our young people.Kinross College provides sporting programs in Basketball, Netball, and Soccer. Complementing our sporting programs are extensive opportunities to participate in the Kinross Accelerated Academic Program. These include Aviation, Drone Pilot accreditation, and the Music, Vocational Educational and Arts Programs.The successful applicant will ideally be someone who places high emphasis on parent partnerships and desires to communicate and partner with parents regularly throughout the year. You will ideally be a vital member of the school's leadership team committed to promoting the school's vision to be a school of excellence in teaching and learning.This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements: Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.
