EFDigital are working with a leading Immersive Experiences Interactive Agency who specialize in crafting AR/VR/3D experiences that push the boundaries of interactive storytelling. The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Technical Artist for a contract role. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in bringing immersive experiences to life by combining your artistic skills with technical expertise. You will collaborate closely with creative and development teams to create stunning visuals and ensure seamless integration of assets. Responsibilities Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for use in virtual and augmented reality experiences. Optimize assets for performance and visual fidelity across various platforms and devices. Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to implement assets and ensure artistic vision is realized in interactive projects. Troubleshoot technical issues related to asset creation, integration, and performance. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven professional experience in technical artist role, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in modeling, texturing, and animation. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Unity/Unreal Engine. PlayCanvas experience is desirable but not essential. Solid understanding of technical constraints and considerations for real-time rendering and interactive applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions to team members. Experience with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) development would be helpful.
