About the role: Transit and Public Safety Command (TPSC) is a dynamic and diverse command that sits within the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Safety and Security. Our 2,800 employees provide the capability that supports our frontline police on a daily basis, whether it is in public order, critical incident response, public transport policing, asset protection, or through deployment of key assets such as helicopters, marine, horses and dogs. The Asset & Procurement Manager position located within Business Capability Division, reports to the Business Manager, TPSC. The role will support the provision of assets across the Command. Your duties will include: * Deliver, manage, and monitor Command procurement ensuring compliance, value for money and the delivery of contractual obligations. * Develop, maintain, and communicate asset management strategy in conjunction with Business Manager and specialist departments. With focus on building maintenance schedules and recurrent capital planning for property and IT to meet future needs of the Command. * Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities. As the successful applicant, you will have: * Prior experience in Asset Management or a similar role * Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment * Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks * Strong verbal as well as written communication skills Requirements and relevant information: * One (1) x full-time position. * This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. * Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa. * The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
