About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen at Life Without Barriers for a Contract & Finance Support Officer to support the NISS program in handling finance transactional-related inquiries, coordination, and reconciliations. Assist the Client Services team with finance-related processes to achieve their objectives and comply with organizational finance-related policies and procedures. as well as the funding model.By joining us as a Contract & Finance Support Officer for the NISS program, you will play an essential role in empowering clients and their families, driving positive change, and contributing to a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement within Life Without Barriers. This full-time max-term (12 months) position offers the flexibility to be based in Sunshine or Dandenong (VIC) or Parramatta (NSW), with the option to work from both home and office environments, ensuring a balanced approach to professional and personal life.?Key Responsibilities?? ?Assist the NISS team in ensuring all financial, statutory, and taxation requirements are met accurately and promptly, following policies and procedures.Build rapport with external bodies such as clients, families, suppliers, and government bodies to convey finance-related information promptly.Ensure accurate and timely completion of invoices for services rendered under the Operational framework and LWB National guidelines.Work closely with the operations team and resolve finance inquiries.Ensure system data integrity, perform periodic reconciliations and prepare journals.Support the NISS team to prepare financial information for submission, including but not limited to the funding bodies, internal and external audits. Skills & Experience Certificate level qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related fields.Demonstrated experience in finance transactional services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable within a high volume, dynamic environment Demonstrated experience using a computerised accounting systemDemonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standardsDemonstrated experience is working autonomously as well as part of a team · Demonstrated experience understanding and interpreting financial information.Working knowledge of GST processes and requirementsAbility to support organisation-wide initiatives that support Life Without Barriers' Purpose and ValuesIntermediate skills in using Microsoft Office suite of programs, for example Outlook, Word and ExcelDemonstrated verbal communication skillsSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role). Benefits of Working with the NISS team Working in an established, highly regarded and Refugee and Asylum Seeker program. Opportunity to work in a supportive and flexible team environment. Monthly RDOWeekly team consultation and review meetings.
