We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Finance Personal Banking team. You will produce and providemercial financial insight, analysis, and rmendations to drive and improve business performance. The role should link internal & external factors impacting our performance, drive discussions, and aid decision making for: The Personal Direct business, Personal Bank CFO and Finance functions including internal performance reporting. Key responsibilities will include: Assess, analyse, and investigate aspects of financial reporting for the Personal Direct Business, including core performance metrics and how these metrics impact the P&L. In addition, supporting the production of half-yearly external reporting requirements; consolidated by the PBF Central Reporting team. Support the central PB Finance functions including forecasting, performance & planning and financial reporting/control. Provide detailed financial analysis by using data analytical skills to enable the provision ofmercial and financial advice, on both strategic and operational initiatives. Analysis and Insight: obtain historical financial and non-financial data and assist to illustrate relationships between data sets, using Power Pivot or Power BI where possible. Key contributor to the maintenance of a strong PB balance sheet control and understanding through central oversight of the sign off balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are clearly understood and providing detailed analysis and information to support the FDC process. Run planning models to ensure business inputs and group assumptions are reflected. Maintain understanding of group finance policy requirements and ensurepliance including identifying and addressing any areas of nopliance. Risk and controls: maintain Direct finance risk profile, including model oversight andernance, following modelling best practice, and continuously improve processes for robustness and resiliency but also to tilt away from processing/reporting to analysis and insight. Stakeholder management: respond to business and finance stakeholder queries, present results to stakeholders. Professional experience in finance/accounting, financial services, corporate reporting, risk reporting or data analytics. Enjoys working collaboratively and building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Ability to apply sound logic to break down problems and rmend solutions. Ability to work independently, synthesize information from multiple sources, buildplex financial models and identify andmunicate key themes. Knowledge and experience in working with visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau. Excellentmunication and presentation skills with the ability to explainplex concepts and present key insights to a broad audience. Excellent stakeholder management skills including planning,munication and influencing skills. Sound understanding of financial and management accounting standards, polices, practises and processes. Experience in Finance/Accounting (preferred but not essential). Tertiary qualified merce/Business/Economics, Science, Engineering), ideally CA/CPA qualified.
