Job Description The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel - Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing. The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.

Project scope includes:

Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each direction Civil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnels Surface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah Freeway In line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the Construction Team to look after the civil fitout aspect of the tunnel.

Specific Tasks Include Oversee and manage the fitout phase of tunnel construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment necessary for fitout activities. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that fitout work meets industry standards and project requirements. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams regarding fit-out methodologies, construction techniques, and safety protocols. Collaborate with project managers to resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the fit-out phase and ensure successful project completion. Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or similar) Demonstrated experience in a similar role Tunnel civil fitout experience would be highly advantageous Well-developed leadership and management skills Problem-solving and analytical skills Clear written and verbal communication skills ACCIONA has been awarded Top Employer 2023 Certification in Australia from the Top Employers Institute.
