About the role Mater Group has an exciting opportunity for a?Manager Supply Chain Operations?to join us in a permanent full-time role located in our corporate office in Newstead, with periodic travel to Supply Chain Operations across the State In this leadership position you will oversee the provision and proactive management of the Supply Chain function with Mater Group. You will manage a significant staff portfolio and budget to provide services in purchasing, warehousing, logistics, hospital imprest management, training and product catalogue management spanning the entire state. The role is responsible for identifying automation, process simplification, and strategic partnership opportunities both internally and externally, as well as driving cultural change and continuous improvement across Mater. Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 What you'll be doing The Manager Supply Chain Operations is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and accessibility of all consumable items across the State to support patient outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Develop and implement strategic direction for all areas within the Supply Chain Accountability for all purchasing, warehousing, distribution and transactional activity Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives Ensure all warehousing, receipting, inventory management and supply chain operations are operated in compliance Effectively manage emergency supply chain situations Provide advice and support to Executives and Business Leads on Supply Chain related matters Lead the Supply Operations team as a role model, mentor and coach Managing performance and development of Supply Chain staff Actively partner with consumers and suppliers, as well as interprofessional colleagues, to determine service and operational objectives that provide an exceptional experience and outcomes, every time Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with community, universities, professional bodies, commercial entities and government and non-government agencies Analyse business data to inform strategic decisions, identify opportunities, respond to issues and trends, and maintain and report on metrics Adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures Manages compliance and risk Participate and lead meetings and other forums Participate in and support the accreditation audit process Participate in committees, working parties and projects Undertake other duties/tasks as requested from time to time About you As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated management experience ideally gained in a large, complex organisation. You will also possess the following: Tertiary Qualification within the Supply Chain, or, A comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles within the health sector Advanced computer literacy with demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office, including high proficiency in Excel, ERP and/or supply chain management software Extensive experience in leading Supply Chain teams Previous experience with budget management and demand planning Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain policy, systems, controls and reporting arrangements at a senior level Extensive experience in preparing and evaluating complex submissions, developing and providing high level strategic advice on Supply Chain matter at an executive level Experience in quality improvement and meeting national standards Previous supply chain experience in a healthcare setting - preferable Strategic outlook Exceptional communication skills A deep and thorough knowledge of the business and what drives value Creativity and innovation Agile, open to change and a continuous learner Why join us? is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
