You will support the management of the financial accounting team to ensure financial reporting deadlines to Management, Board and externally are met.Responsibilities will include:Leading tax deliverables for the annual company income tax compliance with computations and work papers to support the Group Statutory Accounts and tax notes.Delivering the preparation of annual tax returns and supporting financial papers.Leading the monthly and quarterly tax compliance and review of supporting documentsLeading the maintenance of accurate fixed asset and leased assets registers with regular reconciliationsDriving the delivery of month end processes including month end journals, reconciliation and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirementsLeading the preparation of annual Financial Statements whilst working closely with external auditors and tax agents.About youHaving tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, or a related field, you will be CA or CPA qualified and have experience in a similar role. You will have well developed knowledge of, and practical experience in, the application of Australian taxation legislation and lodgement of tax returns, BAS, Payroll tax, FBT, FTC.In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:Extensive experience applying best practice Financial accounting concepts within an infrastructure environmentExperience in providing corporate taxation advice/advisory services to senior management and the BoardExperience in taxation policy and procedure developmentWe strongly encourage applications from candidates who are seeking flexibility in their work arrangements.
