Aurukun is a short one-hour 35 minute flight from the major hub of Cairns and is nestled in native title land, and the traditional homelands of the Wik, Wik Waya and Kugu people.The community values education within and outside of the classroom, and works in partnership with school staff to support positive educational outcomes for its children and young people. The school have an active Local Community Education Board who meet regularly with the Principal to provide advice on the direction and priorities for the school.The OpportunityAurukun State School
