Purchasing Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services, optimizing costs, and maintaining excellent supplier relationships. If you are a proactive individual with a passion for procurement and sustainability, we want to hear from you.The role: Collaborate with various departments to determine procurement needs and requirements;Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability;Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements;Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies;Continuously analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities;Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation;Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials; andPromote sustainability practices within the procurement process. Candidates: Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management;Strong negotiation and communication skills;Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;Proficient in using procurement software and tools;Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices;Detail-oriented and highly organized; andAbility to work effectively in a team environment.
