Practice Administrator (Legal Secretary) - Major Projects & Construction, Melbourne Join a top-tier Australian law firm Permanent, full-time opportunity based in MelbourneProvide direct and high-level support to a Partner and their team within our Major Projects & Construction (MPC) PracticeCollaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful teamThe role Key responsibilities Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support for a Partner and team of practitioners within our MPC PracticeManage general accounts, monthly billing, client reporting, and expenses with a keen eye for detailFile management and handling including opening and closing files and mattersUndertaking conflict searches on firm data base, preparing conflict emailsReviewing third party invoices and preparing client Work OrdersWork as part of a cohesive team of Practice Administrators supporting the wider MPC team and be willing to step in and assist other MPC team members during busy periods Skills & Experience To excel in this role, we are seeking a candidate with;Proven and distinguished experience in an administrative and/or secretarial roleHighly organised with meticulous attention to detailStrong multitasking and prioritization skills, especially in high-pressure situationsA flexible and proactive approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound successThe ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and clientsAdvanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Proficiency in billing processes, with previous experience using Aderant Expert software desirable
