Overview Your Role

We are currently seeking an experiencedShort-Tail Branch Manager that will oversee our Property and Motor Claims teamsjoining us on a permanent full-time basis with flexibility to support a hybrid approach with WFH and in our Sydney CBD or Parramatta office.

The Short-Tail Branch Manager is accountable for delivery of exceptional claims services, acting as an internal and external reference point for stakeholders and ensuring GB's performance under the contract. You will be supporting both Team Leaders and Claims Staff who will be direct reports into this position in delivering exceptional customer service to GB clients, being NSW Government and its agencies. How you'll make an impact Key Activities: Partner with icare in delivering strategic outcomes for NSW Government agencies and direct claimants Manage agency expectations and navigate the development of insurance and lawEnsure the claims team delivers exceptional Customer Service in a manner that upholds the SIRA Customer Service Conduct PrinciplesEnsure the delivery of cost effective, professional and customer-focused claims service Deliver claim insights and data analytics to best inform claim strategies and preventative measuresDevelop portfolio management strategies, process improvement initiatives Implement wellbeing and preventative measures from vicarious trauma for staff, given the sensitivity of claims contentImplement quality assurance activities to improve compliance and data integrity Manage risk activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives to prevent any recurring or systemic incidentsManage team performance in line with team targets and service level agreementsEnsure appropriate team capability with effective recruitment and staff development planningProvide strategic management and technical expertise to the teamManage approvals outside of team delegations in relation to payments, letters, declinatures, mediations, etc About you What we are looking for: Minimum 7 years Insurance Claims experience, including 3 years' experience of managing a Claims teams directlyAbility to build and develop business relationships with Clients and Service ProvidersAbility to comply with relevant state legislationInsurance policy interpretation skillsStakeholder managementStrong level of interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service skillsCommitment to quality and accuracyANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma of General insurance or industry equivalent (highly desirable)A brief overview on GB Gallagher Bassett is Australia's largest Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
