The Field Mobility for Emergency Service (FMES) Project will improve mobilisation of our frontline responder workforce (RFS volunteers, FRS auxiliary, SES volunteers and specialist responders) to incidents through a mobile-based application and desktop services. The project is in its Delivery Phase with training, onboarding, and release of Field Mobility app to volunteers across the State.

This role will be working with the with the project team, Project Delivery Unit, and in partnership with Rural Fire Service (RFS) and State Emergency Service (SES), and other relevant stakeholders.

As the Project Support Officer, you will work closely with the Project Manager in the administration, monitoring and reporting of all aspects of project, including scope, cost, budget and funding, timing, delivery and engagement where applicable whilst at all times maintaining a customer focus.

Key Accountabilities for this role: As a Project Support Officer you will:

Work closely with Project Manager and Change Manager to ensure project are developed to align with agreed objectives and requirements. Assist and support the appropriate Project Team in engagement activities with User Groups and other external project stakeholders to ensure the project is developed to align with agreed objectives and requirements. In its Delivery Phase, this will particularly focus on activities associated with training and onboarding of volunteer groups across the State. Support effective communication and liaison processes with project stakeholders including internal staff, management, User Groups and other external project stakeholders are implemented. Support and assist the delivery of projects, including alignment to project scope, budget and program, management of contracts, contract payments and administration in conjunction with Project Manager. Assist with the preparation of project reporting mechanisms and ensure they are communicated with internal and external stakeholders as required. Ensure, in conjunction with Project Manager, that project resources are efficiently and effectively managed. Carry out other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time Key Capabilities to be successful at this role: To determine your suitability for the role, you will be assessed against the Project Support Workforce Capability Success Profile by looking at what you've undertaken previously and what knowledge, skills and learned experiences you can bring to the team and the role, including your personal qualities. Your suitability for this role will be assessed as follows:

5 years' experience in a Project Support Officer role or similar. Demonstrated competence in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills to develop relationships with team. members and stakeholders and deal with issues of a sensitive nature. Proven ability to coordinate projects and delegate activities to meet outcomes within required time frames. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team, manager and customers. Ability to research current information relating to contract administration legislation, policies, and practices. A basic understanding of contract management and administration and understanding of contract documents. Ability to analyse, prepare and generate comprehensive reports/documentation in relation to contract administration. Knowledge of meeting procedures, recording and production of agenda/minutes. Contributing to the continuous improvement of quality processes, products, and services, as identified through facilitating review, product analysis, client survey analysis and other research and benchmarking activities, which help establish requirements for the implementation of changes.
