We are currently accepting applications for the role of Aircraft Training Captain on the A220 fleet. You will be responsible to the Head of Training and Checking (HOTC) for the performance of training duties in the aircraft, and other duties as described below.

To be selected for this role, you will have: Minimum 1000 hours PIC on A220 or similar generation 4 jet aircraftMinimum 4000 hours total experiencePrevious experience as a training or check captain (or equivalent qualification) on jet aircraftAustralian ATPLDemonstrate above proficient non-technical skills and an in-depth understanding of the impact of human factors on performanceDisplay excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilitiesDemonstrate an inclusive and respectful leadership qualitiesHave a proven ability to work as part of a teamThe ability to pass a CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical CertificateA working knowledge of International standard regulations, industry guidance and requirementsLevel 6 English language qualification on your licenceMaintain an exemplary standard of professionalism, integrity and ethics, along with a high standard of conduct and behaviour consistent with Qantas valuesHave a high level of motivationRole and Responsibilities: Conduct Captain and First Officer training in the aircraftMaintaining a comprehensive knowledge of NJS Operations Manual Suite, and relevant regulatory documentsMaking recommendations to the Head of Training and Checking in relation to procedures for increasing safety on our fleetProviding a positive and caring training culture for all traineesDemonstrating strong leadership by displaying high standards of conduct and behaviour consistent with our Qantas Group valuesBeing flexible and sensitive when dealing with different viewpoints, styles, and cultures, and promoting and embracing diversity in line with our Qantas Group valuesParticipation in Training Review Committee meetings, as requested by the Head of Training and CheckingAttending and participating in personal development days and training meetingsProviding reports to the HATC each bid period, highlighting identified training issues and trendsFacilitation of ground training courses, where applicableOther duties as requested by the Head of Training and CheckingWhy Qantas?
