About the Role

This position is responsible for managing and leading the Referral Management Department primarily responsible for the processing and screening of referrals, scheduling appointments, waiting list management and responding to consumer enquiries.

In this management role, you will have overall responsibility for a team and your key responsibilities will include:

Manage referrals, appointments, waiting list and other processes that support specialist consulting operationsComply with governing Department of Health & Human Services (DOH) policies.Establish appropriate gateways and methods to effectively communicate with patients and providersDrive system and process improvements aimed to enhance the patient experience and the overall service deliveryCollaborate with a variety of stakeholders to facilitate and implement changeAbout You You are an experienced people leader and have a passion for people and systems. With tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant experience, you have already built significant capability and you can readily demonstrate:

An understanding of governing DHHS policies and guidelinesAbility to establish, review and implement new systems, processes and proceduresCapability to implement and drive change to meet goals and requirementsProven facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills enabling effective stakeholder managementLogical, analytical and lateral thinking ability.Experience in people and change management is desirable and an understanding of specialist consulting operations will be an advantage.
