The TeamThe Cognex Business Applications team provides platform, business process, and technology expertise to support our global SAP implementation, by designing / improving business processes, managing complex implementation projects, providing user support and training, and keeping the SAP system landscape up and running 24/7. In addition, the Business Applications team helps optimize the use of all SAP products implemented in a cost-effective manner, to support and enhance Cognex's overall success. The Role:The Senior SAP Developer will be based out of Cognex's Noida, India location working a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). You will be a core member of the Cognex Business Applications Team within IT working closely with the technical and functional teams to drive continuous improvements by developing timely and innovative solutions. This role will work closely functional resources to understand business problems, issues, and priorities and will provide production support activities as well as new technical enhancements and global project implementations. The successful candidate will have experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing solutions on the SAP S/4 platform. ResponsibilitiesSAP development including design, coding, and unit testing of RICEFW objects, integrations, and custom applications in S/4, Fiori and PI/POUnderstand business requirements, challenges and opportunities and assist with the design of the SAP ERP solution to meet established business objectivesWork with Dev Lead to research technical solutions, identify options and provide recommendations to the SAP Dev Manager that represent the best interests of the organization and CognexEnsure delivery of quality deliverables that meet with internal coding guidelines and business expectationsRespond quickly and efficiently when debugging, identifying root cause, and resolving production defectsTransform functional requirements into technical specifications, build, unit test, complete code checks and deploy programsWork with development and functional leads to re-engineer business processes and map processes to S/4 and FIORI functionalityManage production incidents through proactive analysis and problem resolution to improve processes and systemsEnsure team members, managers and users are kept up-to-date on status of project and production workInterface with SAP development staff and third-party software providers (SAP and others) as required for technical mattersParticipate in the development of test scripts; performance of unit, integration, regression and user acceptance testing; and assistance with performance testingSupport weekly releases for deployment of code to production using SolMan Charm and collaborate with BASIS and Release Manager as needed, including backports to Project and/or Production PathsContinue personal professional development in the areas of development, project management, SAP and other relevant information technology toolsContinue to expand knowledge of Cognex's business with a focus on understanding the impact the business processes have on our applicationsCollaborate with extended IT teams for ticket resolution and growth in knowledge and skillsExperience/Technologies SAP S4 HANAABAP DevelopmentFioriSAP PI/POInterface programming (BAPI), RFC developmentMust have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProgramming experience related to reporting, ALV reporting, dialog transactions, Data Dictionary Objects, enhancements, SAP script, Smart Forms, Adobe forms, User Exits, Enhancements, ,BADI,VOFM Routines, Output Types,BAPI', RFC, Web Dynpro, ALE, EDI, IDOC's, CDS Views, AMDP's and FIORI.Experience developing in SAP with ABAP/4 and/or HANA using HANA Studio or Web IDE, EclipseDevelop backend web-services and RESTful API's (Node.js, OData).Experience with enterprise Data Integration and Migration support technologies including ETL, SQL, XSLT, XML.Hands-on experience in integration between SAP modules (e.g., FI, SD, MM, QM, PM, PP, LE, APO, CO, etc.).Working understanding of security standards (e.g., SAML, XACML, MASSL, OATH, OAUTH, OpenID Connect, WSTrust).Experience with various programming/scripting languages (JAVA, Python, JavaScript).Experience working on implementation projects.Experience using Agile processes for project implementations and ticketing systems like ZenDesk and JiraRequirements5+ years of work experience with SAP ABAP design and developmentUnderstanding of SAP ABAP development concepts, guidelines and SAP architectureReporting, ALV reporting, dialog transactions, enhancements, SAP script, Smart Forms, User Exits, Enhancements, BAPI', RFC, Web Dynpro, ALE, EDI, IDOC's, CDS Views, AMDP's and FIORI.Deep knowledge of ERP systems in any kind of industryUnderstanding of business processes within high tech or manufacturing and trade industriesConfiguration and/or consulting experience in one of the following modules: FI, SD, MM, QM, PM, PP, LE, APO, CO, etc.) is a plusAbility to develop repeatable development processes with supporting documentation.Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and changeStrong organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with clients, peers and team members.Required university degree, preferably in, business, engineering, information technologies or equivalent training and job experienceABAP or any SAP Developer certification is a plus.Excellent written and oral presentation skills PRB
