Associate Director - Claims Technical RoleLocation: Mumbai MMGS is a global knowledge center for Marsh McLennan and houses teams, which work closely with the colleagues across various operating units and locations. The current KS Claims Solutions team currently has 13 colleagues, all with a financial / accounting background and all engaged in supporting Marsh colleagues and clients across the globe with the preparation and settlement of complex insurance claims. This position is out of our Mumbai, India office of MMGS. We are looking for an experienced, insurance-focused forensic accountant to accelerate both the technical capability of the team and support our growth strategy. What can you expect?Develop effective resourcing models for claims projects, which both maximize billable utilization within the KS team and support the development of junior colleagues. Adopt a central role interacting with clients, colleagues, insurers and adjusters to report on your analysis, share insights and support the broader project team in the successful resolution of the claim. This will involve using your forensic accounting skills to undertake the quantitative analysis necessary to quantify, document and present the claim to (re)insurers. Provide a constant and reliable technical escalation point for more junior KS colleagues to support their development and foster a culture of technical excellence and curiosity within the team.Refine, implement and monitor the existing Quality Assurance (QA) process for all outgoing client deliverables produced by the KS team to ensure high quality work productLead regular training sessions to accelerate knowledge transfer to local KS colleagues in relation to both technical claims matters and general professional / consulting skillsIdentify opportunities for KS to develop new products and propositions to support revenue growth across the global Claims Solutions practiceAssess appropriateness of current KS talent strategy and recommend improvements as appropriate Active participation in recruitment process to identify and hire the best possible local talent into the KS team to help us address business needs Build relationships with other KS Advisory teams in Mumbai to identify and grow potential cross-Advisory propositions.Mentoring of KS colleagues to support achievement of their professional goals; andacting as a prominent advocate for KS growth and integration across the global Claims Solutions business, contributing to leadership and all-colleague calls as appropriate. What you need to have: At least 10 years' experience quantifying, preparing or adjusting complex / high value Business Interruption claimsChartered Accountancy (ACA / CA / CPA or equivalent) qualification A performance-driven mind-set with an absolute commitment to delivering excellent results for our clients and for our business A vision for how and where KS can grow its profile within Claims Solutions An instinctive and proven ability to develop junior colleagues and help them deliver high quality work product What makes you stand out?
