Vmware Engineer

Trident Consulting is looking for a VMware Engineer for one of our clientsRole: VMware EngineerLocation: Chennai /Hyderabad /Bangalore Type: FulltimeSkills: VMWare vShphere, VM P to V conversion, HP Hardware experienceResponsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual networks.Perform physical-to-virtual (P2V) and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversions of servers using VMware Converter or similar tools.Configure and optimize VMware virtual machines (VMs) for performance, resource utilization, and high availability.Monitor VMware environments using vSphere Client or similar monitoring tools, and implement proactive measures to prevent issues.Troubleshoot and resolve VMware-related issues, including performance degradation, connectivity problems, and system failures.Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, networking, and other systems.Maintain VMware infrastructure security by applying patches, updates, and security configurations.Document VMware configurations, procedures, and best practices, and provide training to other team members as needed.Participate in capacity planning and resource allocation activities to ensure efficient utilization of VMware resources.Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware technologies, best practices, and industry trends.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a VMware Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, including installation, configuration, and administration.Experience with physical-to-virtual (P2V) and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) conversions using VMware Converter or similar tools.Proficiency in HP hardware, including servers, storage, and networking components.Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve VMware-related issues.Familiarity with VMware networking concepts such as vSwitches, VLANs, and distributed virtual switches (DVS).Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and RAID configurations.Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for automation and system administration tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.About Trident: Trident Consulting is an award-winning IT/engineering staffing company founded in 2005 and headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
