Production Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Handling manufacturing of Solar Cell, material management, capacity utilization, manpower management. Should have extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process of the cluster. 2. Ensuring high yield, continual productivity improvement of the cluster by implementing new techniques. 3. Developing process improvements for inventory, manufacturing & production control systems. 4. Evaluating production control activities to ensure that final product meets customer specifications. 5. Responsible for maintaining cell critical to quality parameters (CTQ) such as conversation loss/yield loss and control wastages. 6. Formulating & Achieving shift & daily, weekly & monthly production target while maintaining quality standards. 8. Successfully reduce cost & losses/utilized equipment capacity. 9. Conducting root cause analysis on the production activities & taking immediate remedial actions. 10. Performing mass balancing & accounting of inventory, conducting vendor evaluation, assessing daily consumption and ensuring zero stoppage due to BOM & consumables. 11. Excellence in Data analysis, automation of shop floor data collection to reduce human errors and increase productivity. 12. Proven success in working with production teams to define technical specifications for altering existing equipment & facilities. 13. Proficiency in formulating & executing production and manpower schedules / plans for smooth execution of projects within time & cost parameters. • Executing the shift production targets & given projects as per given timeline. • Maintaining the discipline and order on the line and providing feedback to Cluster-in-charge on any violation of regulations • Able to handle at least 50 Nos operators in a shift • Executing the action plan as defined by the shift manager. • Monitoring, controlling & recognizing the performance of all operators. • Leading the daily shift activity, its briefing to the seniors & carry out the communication with operators as required • Taking immediate actions during shift to close off any issues related to safety. • Training & Developing of team members/Operators. • Prepare SOPs, Control Plan/WI/CS/SPC for production & their revision as per requirement • Prepare shift MIS report and discuss the same with cluster in-charge & shift-manager. • Rejection analysis & suggest improvement actions • Continuous Improvement in yield, Throughput & drive cost reduction projects • Response & Ensuring actions against Customer Complaints • Keep up-to-date on new external developments on solar cell processesPreferred candidate profile: • 4 To 10 Years of experience in production with the solar cells or modules manufacturing companies or automobiles , electronics, semiconductor or automobile components company. • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science• Experience & knowledge about Solar Cell & its operation • Characterization knowledge of Solar cell for process improvement (e.g. Rework reduction, breakage reduction, Throughput improvement etc.) • Knowledge about basic Six Sigma Methodologies, Kaizen, QC tools. • Good presentation, interpersonal and communication skills • Good Knowledge about MS-word , Excel. • Ability to gather and review resources and select and synthesize data for reports and other written materials.
