We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based out of Bangalore site that will work in an Agile framework with other engineers to design and have oversight of microprocessor-based products, with a heavy emphasis on the Analog & Power electronics; having a good working knowledge of AC/DC and digital circuits, single & 3-phase power systems (415V or less), and high level overview of communications concepts (100/1000baseT networks, RS232, CAN, USB). Our Rack and Edge Systems products are datacenter related infrastructure, including rack power distribution, rack automatic transfer switches, network products and more. Required skillsWhat EE will be doing: Gathering product objectives and requirements, illustrating them at a conceptual level (block diagrams)Creating various elements of the product (neatly drawn schematics, perhaps PCBs, some programmable devices used on the boards, perhaps contribute to enclosures, harnesses)Bring up & debugging of Electronics PCB prototypesAddressing various safety and noise (EMI) issues that may ariseImplementation of Energy/ power metering and environmental-sensing elements (temperature, humidity…), switching & protecting between power sources and arbitrary loads, sub-100W SMPS.Preparing Engineering Change Requests, Manufacturing Change Requests or Deviations within our PDM system.Working in a diverse team environment, as well as independently Virtually all aspects of any product are touched by the EE, from concept through engineering and release. Also: Addressing field problems; work with manufacturing; provide competent guidance to others as well as receive it; troubleshooting of problems from both inside & outside of group Interaction with: Mechanical, compliance, firmware engineers, product management, manufacturing, field service, vendors Tools Proficiency : Block diagramming (Visio), schematic / PCB (Cadence/Similar tools), CAD (Creo, Autocad)1GHz o-scopes, 3-phase power generators / loads, precision power meters Nice to have (in order of importance): WW compliance (EMC, safety), WW electrical systems, data center concepts, mechanical design / 3D modeling, NFPA 70E, Arc Fault, HVAC systems,Basic coding at some level, coding (various - C, C++) Understanding .
