In this role you will betasked with influencing the system design by ensuring adherence to system safety and reliability requirements in the development, integration, and production phases of the engineering cycle.You will also:Assess contractual system safety requirements, standards and regulations by writing plans and participating in internal and external design reviews, Configuration Control Boards and Prime Contractor System Safety Working Groups to monitoring progress.Provideinputs to developers regarding the optimization of the system, evaluating the design to minimize occurrences and impact of hazards and following up to ensure safety measures are implemented will be key components of the role.ExecuteHazard Assessments and Fault Tree Analyses and categorizing hazards in accordance with the probability of occurrence and severity classifications.Collaborate with internal programs and engineering teamsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor degree in applicable disciplineExperience in the application of system safety disciplines to civilian or military programs,Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-1629A, and SAE ARP 4761; DEF-STAN-0055/56Knowledge of systems engineering, hardware design, and software design methods and processes;Familiar with Reliability, Maintainability, and FMEA tools.Experienced in the development and delivery of technical documentation for complex systems;Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
