Game Designer

This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.Pay Range: $50/hr - $56/hr As a Technical Level Designer, you will work closely with the Lead Technical Level Designer and the Level Design Teams to develop solutions and best practices that deliver against both the technical goals of the project and the player experience.The Level Designer's Responsibilities:Act as the expert and point of contact for the Level Design pipeline and toolsetChampion scripting standards and level design metricsCollaborate effectively with both technical and design teamsDebug issues yourself and with othersCreate documentation on technical designWrite and maintain instructional pages for features and toolsPrototype new features and toolsThe Level Designer's Requirements:3+ years of experience working on AAA titles3+ years of experience working on visual game editors (ideally UE4)1+ shipped titles in a technical design roleExperience with game consoles and toolsStrong knowledge and experience with gameplay systemsExperience with text-based scripting/programming languagesExperience writing documentation for tools and gameplay systemsUnderstanding of scripting/programming and debugging conceptsGeneral understanding of performance issues (memory, framerate) especially related to consolesThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $50/hr - $56/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
