Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Advisory  is the team that acts as the primary contact providing counsel on AML and anti-terrorist financing policies and standards. AML Advisory ensures that program activities align with TD's risk philosophy and strategic direction. Job Overview:The Canadian Banking AML Advisory team is looking for an AML Risk Advisory Manager to provide specialized end to end support in a highly complex, and diverse function for an area of significant risk, complexity and scope (transaction monitoring and customer risk rating strategies) for Canadian Banking.The AML Risk Advisory Manager is a subject matter expert and provides insight, guidance, and recommendation on AML subject matter, regulatory and industry issues and acts as a specialized resource to other teams based on expertise including, but not limited to, risk typologies, risk coverage, transaction monitoring, customer identification and due diligence, enhanced due diligence, policy, governance, training and/or compliance assurance and testing.Other key responsibilities include:Participate in the development of GAML enterprise-wide frameworks, policies, standards, procedures in coordination with management in line with TD's AML/ATF ProgramParticipate in enterprise wide or GAML focused special projects.Meet with business (GAML) partners and leaders to determine AML strategies and compliance cultureWork closely with management team to support the development of the Advisory team's business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scaleSupport in the planning and execution on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly, develop and operationalize the business plan and deliver on AML/ATF programs across the enterprise.Support in the identification of key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations related to GAML applications and regulatory reporting processesKeep current on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to AML/ATF and Sanctions regulatory compliance and risk management strategies, focusing on regulatory reporting applications, transaction monitoring and customer risk rating approachesMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteShare knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teamsSupport an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successesAct as a brand ambassador for the GAML Advisory function and the bank, both internally and/or externallyMaintain knowledge of end-to-end processes and internal / external partners and regulatory requirements Job Requirements 7+ years relevant experienceKnowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigationKnowledge of current and emerging AML/ATF and Sanctions trendsStrong analytical and organizational skills; ability to organize and bring to order data and information, drawing conclusions and making appropriate recommendationsStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to draft reports, procedures, presentations, and business correspondence, as well as present information and respond to questions/requests for information from peers, senior management, business groups within and across GAMLGood interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment in order to assist with the interaction with internal and external stakeholdersFlexible with the ability to adapt to change and take initiative to complete job requirements while balancing competing workload requirementsStrong process improvement and development skills to automate and refine manual processesSkill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniquesSkill in using computer applications including MS OfficeAbility to work independently, think critically, make decisions and manage deadlines while multi-tasking between different projectsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline focused environmentAbility to challenge and influence changeAbility to process and handle confidential information with discretionWork experience in a first line reporting function, second line compliance / risk management function is considered an asset.
