Maintain the building, electromechanical operating systems, non-selling furniture, interior and exterior in “shape as new” to promote the image and brand of IKEA. What you will do Operational- Prioritize Safety and Security: Establish and uphold strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both visitors and staff.
- Uphold Cleanliness: Implement rigorous cleaning schedules and practices to maintain a pristine environment throughout the premises.
- Regular Maintenance: Conduct frequent inspections and maintenance of the building to ensure its optimal functionality.
- Electromechanical Systems Upkeep: Maintain and service electromechanical systems regularly to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Furniture Maintenance: Keep non-selling furniture in excellent condition, addressing wear and tear promptly to ensure a comfortable and appealing setting.
- Exterior and Interior Presentation: Ensure the external and internal appearance of the building reflects the IKEA brand positively, making it inviting and accessible.
- Brand Image Promotion: Align all maintenance and operational efforts to enhance and reflect the IKEA brand image positively.
- Innovative Solutions: Adopt innovative maintenance and operational solutions to improve efficiency, sustainability, and the visitor experience.
- Feedback Implementation: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from visitors and co-workers to improve the environment and facilities.
- Sustainability Practices: Integrate environmentally sustainable practices in the maintenance and operation of the building to reflect IKEA’s commitment to sustainability.
- Knowledge of fire and security systems
- Must be familiar with chilled water supply system and energy transfer stations (ETS).
- Familiar with mechanical systems specially HVAC system, Firefighting system, Fire suppression system, water supply system, plumbing system, hood systems, ventilation systems, smoke management systems, etc.
- Familiar with electrical systems specially lighting system, power low voltage and medium voltage systems, distribution and panel boards system, fire alarm system, public address system, cable tray system, motor control centers and control equipment, building management system, etc.
- Familiar with OSHA and HSE codes.
- Familiar with local codes and international codes (NFPA, IEC, IBC, ASHRE, ASME, IEEE, EN, BS, ISO, etc.).
- Familiar with tendering process including technical and financial data collection, evaluation until finally awarding
- Good knowledge for sustainability needs and development Multi-tasking skills
- Engineering Bachelor degree [electrical or mechanical]
- 7 years in maintenance field
- Supervisory Skills for the blue-collars
- V. Good written and verbal English
