We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team for a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Finance. They will manage and coordinate all aspects of accounting and will be responsible for conducting high-level analysis of revenue, credit, expenses, and overhead. If you are highly detail-oriented and capable of analyzing data with creativity and innovation in mind, we want to hear from you!What you'll be working on:
- Manage complete bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online and GP with completeness and accuracy and ensure everything is in sync and properly integrated with Lockstep billing software
- Manage accounts receivable and payable in accordance with accounting policies
- Monitor and track the full cycle invoicing process
- Prepare new invoices as per order instructions received from sales or from third-party platforms like Authorize.net and Paypal with completeness and accuracy
- Maintain various accounting workbooks to track new orders and cancellations
- Export and upload Lockstep payment file into QBO on a daily basis
- Follow customer cancellation procedures as described in the company's cancellation policy
- Perform weekly bank deposits and subsequent reconciliation
- Monitor accounting inbox for daily customer and sales queries and provide timely resolutions
- Effectively communicate with customers and resolve any billing-related concerns
- Closely monitor monthly AR statements and related activities
- Effectively handle accounting software-related issues and resolve with relevant support teams
- Process monthly employee commissions
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly revenue reports
- Review and post monthly intercompany expense
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Finance manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Finalist / Qualified Professional Accountant or bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration
- Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, using Excel vlookup and pivot tables in data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a must
- Familiarity with GP an asset
