About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team for a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Finance. They will manage and coordinate all aspects of accounting and will be responsible for conducting high-level analysis of revenue, credit, expenses, and overhead. What you'll be working on:

1. Manage complete bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online and GP with completeness and accuracy and ensure everything is in sync and properly integrated with Lockstep billing software
2. Manage accounts receivable and payable in accordance with accounting policies
3. Monitor and track the full cycle invoicing process
4. Prepare new invoices as per order instructions received from sales or from third-party platforms like Authorize.net and Paypal with completeness and accuracy
5. Maintain various accounting workbooks to track new orders and cancellations
6. Export and upload Lockstep payment file into QBO on a daily basis
7. Follow customer cancellation procedures as described in the company's cancellation policy
8. Perform weekly bank deposits and subsequent reconciliation
9. Monitor accounting inbox for daily customer and sales queries and provide timely resolutions
10. Effectively communicate with customers and resolve any billing-related concerns
11. Closely monitor monthly AR statements and related activities
12. Effectively handle accounting software-related issues and resolve with relevant support teams
13. Process monthly employee commissions
14. Perform monthly bank reconciliations
15. Prepare monthly revenue reports
16. Review and post monthly intercompany expense
17. Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Finance manager

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
2. Finalist / Qualified Professional Accountant or bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration
3. Knowledge of multi-currency transactions
4. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, using Excel vlookup and pivot tables in data analysis
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Strong organizational and time management skills
7. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a must
8. Familiarity with GP an asset
