Automation programmer - Electrical design

Your duties :

I'm looking for an Electrical Designer - Automation for my client, a designer and manufacturer of special machines located in the east end of Montreal. This is a permanent position, 40 hours per week, with face-to-face travel 3 times a year.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Participate in the electrical design and automated programming of custom machines

- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

- Advise on project feasibility

- Assist production and mechanical design departments as needed

- Modify programs if problems arise during testing

- Other related tasks

Your professional skills :

- Creativity, organization and application

- Adaptability and communication skills

I'm looking for someone with skills in automation (Allen-Bradley, Siemens or MicroLogix) and electrical design. If you also have skills in machine safety and troubleshooting, these will be considered.

Your profile :

- BAC or DEC in electrical engineering, robotics or automated production

- Member of OIQ, CPI or ING - an asset but not mandatory - Tutoring possible

- Minimum 1 year experience in automated systems programming or electrical design

- Knowledge of Autocad Electrical

- Good oral and written English, bilingual French

- Salary: $65k - $100k depending on experience + bonus

- Full insurance, RRSP, paid vacation for a minimum of 3 weeks.
