This award-winning practice is seeking a talented Associate to join their corporate team based in London. This a great opportunity to join a team who are rated Tier 1 in the Legal Directories for upper mid-market deals. About the Team The range and scale of the team's client base and work in the sector is extensive and includes advising many leading UK and international financial institutions on some of their most significant matters and transactions. .The financial services M&A team advises on a wide range of corporate transactions including private or public mergers and acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, intra-group restructurings, cross-border transactions and a variety of strategic and regulatory driven projects. What we are looking for:
- Experience of financial services focussed M&A and strategic transactions involving institutional clients is highly desired
- Client-focussed thinking and commerciality - the ability to offer up solutions rather than merely identify problems
- Self-motivated, flexible and willingness to own and deliver workstreams
- Strong communication and technical skills (positivity and proactivity are must-haves)
- Ability to collaborate alongside specialists in other practice areas (within the UK and internationally) and to coordinate client initiatives and effectively support transaction delivery
- Willingness to participate in externally-focussed business development activities and help to develop relationships with new and established financial institution clients (both on and off transactions)
- You are a Senior Associate with 5 years+ PQE and keen to join us at a pivotal stage of your career.
- Have enthusiasm for intellectually challenging work, are ambitious and confident to deliver at the highest standard.
- Take time to fully appreciate clients' needs and priorities ensuring their advice is meaningful, tailored, commercial and delivered with a solutions-orientated and enabling mindset.
