Afrikaans Subject Teacher

Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging Afrikaans language and literature lessons to students in grades 8 through 12.Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes academic growth.Design assessments and provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning objectives.Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary teaching strategies and resources.Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school administrators regarding student performance and any concerns.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.Relevant qualification for teaching Afrikaans at a high school level.Experience teaching Afrikaans language and literature to students in grades 8 through 12 is preferred.Familiarity with the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) curriculum is advantageous.Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.S.A.C.E. (South African Council for Educators) registered or eligible for registration.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans.Strong classroom management skills.Ability to engage and motivate students.Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.Adaptability and flexibility to meet the needs of individual students and the school community. Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not received a response within two weeks of applying.
