This company engages in the explorationproduction transportation and sale of crude oil and natural gas. Itoperates through the following segments: Upstream Downstream andCorporate. The Upstream segment includes crude oil natural gas andnatural gas liquids exploration field development and production.The Downstream segment focuses on refining logistics powergeneration and the marketing of crude oil petroleum andpetrochemical products and related services to international anddomestic customers. The Corporate segment offers supportingservices including human resources finance and informationtechnology. The company was founded on May 29 1933 and isheadquartered in Dhahran Saudi Arabia. Job Summary We are seekingan experienced Project Management Specialist to join Joint Venture& Infrastructure Project Management. Saudi PM Teams areresponsible and accountable for the delivery of best in classcapital projects. JV & Infra PM is directly involved inexecuting and managing assigned projects safely on schedule withinbudget and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance.This will involve engineering design procurement and constructionof various sizes ($) types and complexity of small medium tomultibillion dollar mega projects. Project Management Team managesand executes projects usually from multiple site offices orengineering contractor design offices geographically scatteredthroughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The PM Specialist is acompanywide recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field ofProject Management. He provides expert advice and guidance in oneor more specialized areas of Project Management including but notlimited to project planning project execution and project controls.As an SME he utilizes his extensive experience and knowledge tooptimize project planning improve design and construction qualityand to improve project costs and schedules. The PM Specialist is anexpert in one or more disciplines that directly affect projectperformance including but not limited to planning and schedulingproject execution estimation cost engineering geomatics valueengineering and other Value Improvement Practices.Responsibilities: • Provide expert advice and guidance inproject planning project execution and project control. •Assist in resolving project management problems related to the areaof expertise including addressing project planning deficienciesproject quality defects (in engineering procurement orconstruction) schedule delays and potential cost overruns.• Collaborate closely with project engineers and otherproject professionals offering work direction and guidance.• Develop and implement strategies aimed at improvingproject planning cost control scheduling and overall projectquality. • Evaluate existing tools and methodologieswithin the area of expertise and make recommendations for theirimplementation at This Company. • Lead internal orexternal problemsolving teams as directed by management. •Conduct training courses in the area of expertise. •Provide training and mentorship to developing engineers and otherproject management professionals. • Participate in thedevelopment of standards guidelines instructions policies andprocedures as needed. • Participate in the review andevaluation of the capabilities of E&C contractors suppliersand project management partners. Requirements: • This rolerequired candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.• Hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business froma recognized and approved program (advanced degree preferred).• Obtain a Professional certification by AACE (Associationfor the Advancement of Cost Engineering) PMI (Project ManagementInstitute) or the professional engineering boards. •Possess fifteen (15) years of experience in the project managementfield.
